As the holiday season gets rolling, Connecticut has unveiled what is being called the nation’s first-ever Christmas Movie Trail, according to a release.

A Christmas movie fan experience unlike any other starts this holiday season in Connecticut. The nation’s first ever Christmas Movie Trail takes you to familiar scenes from holiday movies filmed in the Nutmeg State.

The trail includes stops at filming locations for 22 Christmas movies by studios like Hallmark and Lifetime, with recommendations for places to eat, drink and stay.

On Wednesday afternoon, the state unveiled what’s being touted as the "Christmas Movie Trail," the first of its kind in all of the country. 12 lucky local residents entered a contest to be guests at the launch in the house where the Hallmark movie “Christmas on Honeysuckle Lane” was filmed in Wethersfield.
