The Green Lantern franchise has been booming as of late, and now DC is bringing the big guns together in 2025 for the anticipated return of the Green Lantern Corps. It has been a rough few years for the Green Lantern Corps. The organization was taken over by the United Planets, before being corrupted and decimated along with the other Corps. Thankfully, a reserve Central Power Battery was hidden on Earth before the departure of the Guardians of the Universe.

Never Have I Ever star Poorna Jagannathan has been cast in a recurring role in Lanterns, HBO ’s upcoming drama series based on the Green Lantern comics from DC. The actress will join a strong cast that includes series regulars Kyle Chandler, Aaron Pierre, and Kelly Macdonald, as well as fellow recurring actor Garret Dillahunt.

Poorna Jagannathan (Deli Boys) has been tapped for a heavily recurring role in 'Lanterns', HBO’s drama series based on the Green Lantern DC comic.

Jagannathan starred for four seasons on Netflix’s Never Have I Ever and was most recently seen in Apple TV+’s film Wolfs. Her credits also include HBO’s The Night Of and Hulu and Onyx Collective’s forthcoming series Deli Boys.
