Trump picks campaign aide Karoline Leavitt for White House press secretary
President-elect Donald Trump reached into his inner circle on Friday and chose his transition spokesperson, Karoline Leavitt, as his White House press secretary, putting a 27-year-old firebrand in position to aggressively defend him.
Leavitt, 27, currently a spokesperson for Trump’s transition, would be the youngest White House press secretary in history.
Leavitt, 27, previously worked as an assistant press secretary under former White House Press Secretary Kayleigh McEnany.
