For the people living on the outer banks, this is an all-too-familiar story. Winds reaching up to 65 miles per hour and relentless high tides battered the area Thursday night into Friday morning, devouring one home and leaving another damaged.

The Cape Hatteras National Seashore says another coastal home in Rondathe has collapsed during the overnight hours.

North Carolina's Outer Banks are home to countless picturesque houses along the ocean, with many sitting in the beloved Cape Hatteras National Seashore. In recent months, however, seaside homes in the community of Rodanthe have continued to collapse. The most recent was only a few hours ago.
