A guitar described by Noel Gallagher as "the best in the world" has sold for more than £226,000. Gallagher played the custom Silver Sparkle Gibson Les Paul Florentine guitar on the third Oasis album Be Here Now, released in August 1997. It was put up for sale by auctioneers Propstore with a guide price of between £200,000 and £400,000.
