With Thanksgiving is quickly approaching, some turkey farms are accepting orders to provide customers with fresh turkeys for the big day.

These results, indicating turkey as the most disliked food on your Thanksgiving table, line up with Campbell’s Third Annual State of the Sides Report, which came out earlier this month. That survey came up with two stats that show turkey is being pushed aside:

Turkey wings are a smart dark horse option for a smaller Thanksgiving table. Not only are they affordable, they may be in stock when the full birds are not. Look for them in the regular poultry section, not with the Thanksgiving turkeys, and find ones that are fresh versus smoked.
